Choose a single JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, TIF, BMP, AVIF, HEIC, or HEIF image from your device. The Resize Image tool accepts one file at a time with a maximum upload size of 25 MB. The image is not sent to the Python backend until you click the resize button.
The workspace displays a large preview, filename, file size, and original width and height in pixels. Check these values before entering new dimensions, especially when preparing an image for a website, social profile, document, marketplace, or email attachment.
Use Custom size when you know the exact output width or height. Keep the aspect-ratio lock enabled to calculate the matching dimension automatically. You can unlock the ratio when exact width and height values are required, although this can stretch the image.
Percentage mode changes both dimensions proportionally. A value below 100 percent makes the image smaller, while a value above 100 percent enlarges it. For example, 50 percent creates an image with half the original width and half the original height.
Keeping the aspect ratio prevents the image from becoming unnaturally wide or tall. When the lock is active, editing the width automatically updates the height and editing the height automatically updates the width using the original proportions.
Keep original format preserves the supported source format. You can also export the resized result as JPG, PNG, or WebP. JPG is widely compatible, PNG supports transparency, and WebP often provides a useful balance between quality and file size.
The quality slider affects supported lossy formats such as JPG and WebP. Higher values preserve more detail but usually create a larger file. A quality level between 85 and 95 percent is suitable for many photographs and web images.
High quality uses Lanczos resampling and is the recommended default for photographs and detailed graphics. Balanced uses bicubic processing, while Fast uses bilinear resizing. High-quality processing can take slightly longer for very large source images.
Click Resize Image after checking the calculated dimensions. The backend applies the original orientation, resizes the pixels, preserves transparency when the selected output format supports it, and returns one downloadable image through the shared EDITHUBS result page.
Temporary backend output is deleted after the response is delivered. The downloadable browser result uses the shared EDITHUBS storage system and expires after 2 hours. The stored result, object URL, workspace data, and session marker are then cleared automatically.

The maximum upload size is 25 MB. The backend also checks image dimensions and rejects unsafe or unsupported files before resizing.
Yes. When the lock is enabled, changing one dimension automatically calculates the other from the original proportions. Unlocking it allows exact dimensions but can distort the image.
Yes. Enter larger dimensions or use a percentage above 100 percent. Enlarging cannot create missing source detail, so very large increases may look softer than the original.

The backend creates a new output image and does not intentionally copy most source metadata. For a dedicated privacy cleanup, use the Remove Image Metadata tool.
The shared browser result remains available for up to 2 hours. Temporary backend output is deleted after delivery, and the saved result is cleared when the two-hour period ends.
