COOKIES AT EDITHUBS

Cookie Policy

How EDITHUBS uses cookies, browser storage, and related technologies for authentication, security, tools, and website functionality.

Effective September 2, 2026

A transparent cookie policy based on actual technologies

EDITHUBS publishes cookie information based on technologies verified on the production website and does not present placeholder technologies as active.

1. What this Policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how EDITHUBS uses cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies on edithubs.com. Additional information about personal data is available in the Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies can remember settings, support authentication, measure performance, store consent choices, and help protect a service.

3. Strictly necessary technologies

EDITHUBS uses essential technologies where required for authentication, account security, session management, requested tool operation, and core service functionality.

4. Preference technologies

EDITHUBS may store interface or tool preferences in browser storage when a feature requires those preferences to remain available during or between browser sessions.

5. Authentication technologies

When you sign in, EDITHUBS uses authentication technologies to maintain and protect your session. The service uses EDITHUBS access and refresh authentication cookies. Google sign-in also uses a temporary state cookie during the authentication flow.

6. Analytics technologies

EDITHUBS does not currently use non-essential analytics cookies on the website. If analytics technologies are introduced, this Policy and any consent controls required by applicable law will be updated accordingly.

7. Consent for analytics

EDITHUBS does not currently require analytics-cookie consent because non-essential analytics cookies are not currently in use. If that changes, appropriate consent controls will be provided where required by applicable law.

8. Current cookie use

EDITHUBS currently uses essential authentication cookies and browser storage required for account, security, tool, result, workspace, and interface functionality. The website also includes Google AdSense code. When Google advertising services operate, Google and other advertising partners may use advertising cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and, where permitted, advertising personalization.

9. Consent controls

Essential technologies required to provide requested service functionality may operate without optional consent where permitted by applicable law. For non-essential advertising technologies, consent and privacy-choice controls are provided where required by applicable law. For Google advertising services, applicable regional choices may be presented through Google's consent-management tools, including options to manage or withdraw choices where available.

10. Essential cookies and consent

Strictly necessary authentication and security technologies are used to provide requested account functionality and protect user sessions. The current authentication cookies are listed in the cookie inventory below.

11. Browser controls

Most browsers allow users to view, block, or delete cookies. Blocking essential technologies may prevent sign-in, security controls, consent storage, preferences, or parts of the service from working correctly.

12. Retention and expiry

Cookies and browser technologies use retention periods appropriate to their purpose. Session technologies may expire when the browser closes, while persistent technologies remain for their defined duration.

13. Third-party technologies

Third-party technologies may be used for features and services available on EDITHUBS, including authentication, infrastructure, and advertising. Google AdSense and participating advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies when advertising services operate. Third-party technologies are subject to the applicable provider terms, privacy practices, consent choices, and legal requirements.

14. Cookie inventory

Current EDITHUBS authentication cookies are: edithubs_access — essential authentication cookie, HttpOnly, up to 20 minutes; edithubs_refresh — essential session-renewal cookie, HttpOnly, up to 30 days; and edithubs_google_oauth_state — temporary essential security cookie used during Google sign-in to protect the OAuth flow, HttpOnly, up to 10 minutes and removed after the authentication flow. EDITHUBS also uses sessionStorage, localStorage, and IndexedDB for tool state, temporary results, workspaces, interface data, and other core browser-side functionality. These browser storage technologies are not advertising cookies.

15. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated when technologies, providers, consent requirements, or website features change. Material updates are reflected in the effective date and relevant consent controls.

Clear information about browser technologies

Cookie information is updated when authentication, analytics, advertising, browser storage, or other technologies materially change.
